About this role
Trace3 is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer III to design and maintain advanced security solutions protecting enterprise systems and data across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. This senior technical role involves security architecture, threat detection, vulnerability management, incident response, and compliance with regulatory frameworks in the Baltimore/Annapolis Junction area.
What you'll do
- Design and maintain enterprise security solutions including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention, endpoint protection, and identity management
- Develop security architecture standards and Authority-To-Operate plans for CI/CD pipelines
- Conduct security assessments, risk analyses, and vulnerability scanning with remediation oversight
- Monitor security events using SIEM tools, perform threat hunting, and lead incident response investigations
- Ensure compliance with NIST, RMF, and ISO/IEC 27001 frameworks through audits and documentation
- Coordinate with infrastructure and application teams to integrate security controls across environments
