About this role

TRM Labs seeks a pragmatic backend engineer to build scalable APIs and systems for an AI-powered intelligence platform serving public and private sector agencies. You'll work on complex problems bridging customer needs with technical solutions, maintaining public APIs, and supporting internal business units in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

What you'll do

  • Design and maintain public APIs as part of TRM's API product suite
  • Build scalable backend systems and web applications using Node.js and related technologies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business vision into technical roadmaps
  • Develop shared engineering services and functionalities to enable internal business units
  • Participate in on-call rotation for internal tools and customer support triage
  • Lead projects as a technical anchor while managing ambiguity and prioritizing effectively
