Mission Systems Engineer
About this role
True Anomaly seeks a Mission Systems Engineer to develop next-generation space control systems, designing mission architectures, conducting orbital analysis, and building simulation tools to support autonomous spacecraft and space superiority capabilities. You'll work across the full program lifecycle from contract award through mission completion, collaborating with subsystem teams and government stakeholders.
What you'll do
- Design, simulate, and analyze rendezvous, proximity operations, and constellation mission trajectories
- Develop and maintain mission engineering analysis tools using astrodynamics software for trade studies and performance evaluation
- Conduct parametric and Monte Carlo analyses to support engineering decisions and risk mitigation
- Oversee integration of mission systems hardware, software, and operational components with subsystem teams
- Prepare technical reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders including government agencies
- Support mission operations during testing and real-time execution, including pre-flight and post-flight anomaly investigation
