About this role

TrueTandem seeks a Data Engineer to lead data migration and modernization initiatives for federal and commercial clients transitioning to Microsoft Azure Government Cloud. You'll design and execute ETL/ELT pipelines, ensure data quality, and prepare datasets for analytics while working remotely in a full-time role supporting critical infrastructure transformations.

What you'll do

  • Assess legacy data sources and document structures, dependencies, and quality issues through discovery activities
  • Design and execute ETL/ELT processes to migrate data into Azure-based environments
  • Cleanse, normalize, and standardize datasets to ensure accuracy and consistency across systems
  • Validate migrated data through reconciliation checks and stakeholder reviews before production deployment
  • Implement data quality checks, validation rules, and exception handling for long-term integrity
  • Prepare curated datasets and support Power BI dashboards for analytics and reporting use cases
