Job Overview
We are looking for experienced ADAS Test Drivers to support an Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) function-testing programme on public roads across New York State, USA.
In this role, you will drive test vehicles along predefined routes to support the evaluation of ADAS features under real-world driving conditions. You will work with a technical team, follow detailed testing procedures, and collect accurate data to help assess system performance and functionality.
This position is ideal for tech-savvy drivers with previous automotive, mapping, or vehicle testing experience who are comfortable working with technical equipment and following structured testing protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive test vehicles on public roads across assigned areas of New York State.
- Follow predefined routes and detailed testing procedures.
- Support the testing and evaluation of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) functions in real-world driving conditions.
- Operate and interact with technical equipment, testing tools, and dedicated applications.
- Monitor vehicle and system behavior during testing and accurately record observations.
- Identify, document, and report technical issues, unexpected system behavior, or testing irregularities.
- Work closely with engineers and project team members to ensure testing activities are completed according to project requirements.
- Maintain a high level of safety, attention to detail, and responsibility while operating test vehicles.
- Ensure that all testing activities and collected data meet the required quality standards.
Requirements
- Local to New York State, USA, with the ability to travel to assigned testing locations.
- Minimum age of 25 years.
- Valid US driver's license and at least 5 years of driving experience.
- Clean driving record for the past 5 years, with no major violations or incidents.
- Clean criminal background check.
- Previous experience in automotive testing, vehicle testing, mapping, data collection, or a related field.
- Strong technical proficiency and excellent digital skills. The ability to work confidently with smartphones, applications, software, and technical equipment is essential.
- Comfortable following detailed technical instructions, testing protocols, and predefined routes.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to accurately document test results.
- Willingness to complete drug screening and undergo random drug and alcohol testing where required.
- Reliable, responsible, and strongly committed to safe driving practices.
- Previous experience with ADAS features or automotive technology testing.
- Familiarity with vehicle data collection tools, GPS-based applications, or specialized testing software.
- Experience working alongside engineers or technical teams in field-testing environments.
