Software Development Engineer, Security Platform
About this role
Join Twitch's Security Platform team as an SDE II to design and operate foundational security services, data pipelines, and automation tools that protect the platform at scale. You'll own critical projects spanning security telemetry, detection workflows, authentication, and privacy engineering while partnering across teams to solve real-world security challenges.
What you'll do
- Design and deliver end-to-end software projects from conception through production deployment and operational support
- Build critical services and pipelines for security data ingestion, processing, and automation across Twitch
- Drive operational excellence through observability, reliability, and readiness of business-critical systems
- Partner with Security, Identity, Privacy, and Infrastructure teams on Twitch-wide initiatives
- Lead technical discussions, design reviews, and code reviews to elevate engineering standards
- Maintain and improve detection, response, and vulnerability management systems at scale

- Backend service development and production operations (3+ years)
- Modern programming languages (Go, Java, Python, or equivalent)
- AWS infrastructure design, deployment, and infrastructure-as-code
