Analytics Engineer, Data Platform

About this role

Upside is seeking an Analytics Engineer to join their growing Data Platform team and own key data models powering their user-facing offers and partner launches. You’ll be responsible for the full lifecycle of these models – from design and development to testing, monitoring, and documentation – working closely with Marketing, Data, and MarTech teams to translate ambiguous requests into reliable data solutions. This role emphasizes strong SQL skills, proficiency with dbt and Snowflake, and the ability to communicate technical decisions effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

What you'll do

• Design, build, test, and monitor dbt models within a defined scope.
• Translate ambiguous requests from stakeholders into actionable projects.
• Write comprehensive design documentation for owned features.
• Implement monitoring and alerting to proactively identify and address data issues.
• Participate in on-call support rotations for debugging and issue resolution.
