About this role

Vannevar Labs seeks a Site Reliability Engineer to own platform reliability, monitoring, and deployment automation for AI defense systems. You'll monitor system health, respond to incidents, build observability tooling, and drive infrastructure improvements while working in a mission-focused, fast-growing defense technology company.

What you'll do

  • Monitor dashboards and system telemetry to detect performance issues and reliability risks before they escalate
  • Own end-to-end incident debugging and response, making informed decisions about investigation depth and escalation
  • Build logging, monitoring, and observability infrastructure to mature SRE practices
  • Develop and maintain platform health, scaling strategies, and capacity planning
  • Automate deployment pipelines and improve the build process for the engineering team
  • Create self-service tools and identify bottlenecks to enhance team efficiency and reliability
