About this role
Varda seeks a hands-on Propulsion Engineer II to own the propulsion subsystem and hardware across its spacecraft fleet. You'll drive system architecture, component sizing, mechanical design, software tool development, testing, and operations for both ground and orbital vehicles in a fast-paced space infrastructure startup.
What you'll do
- Own and maintain propulsion subsystem architecture and technical design across Varda's spacecraft
- Perform component sizing, analysis, and detailed mechanical design for propulsion hardware
- Develop and maintain propulsion software tools and perform data review
- Conduct subsystem testing, integration, and operational support for ground and orbital vehicles
- Generate analysis products and technical documentation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary engineering teams on vehicle development
