About this role
Varda seeks a Build Reliability Engineer II to partner with design and manufacturing teams on spacecraft hardware production, ensuring processes yield reliable vehicles at scale. You'll lead failure investigations, manage non-conformances, and support quality and mission assurance across the vehicle lifecycle.
What you'll do
- Partner with design and manufacturing teams to develop test, manufacturability, and inspection plans for vehicle hardware
- Contain and disposition non-conforming product while guiding quality inspectors and technicians
- Lead failure investigations in production and test environments to identify root causes and improve reliability
- Perform failure modes and effects analyses, build compliance matrices, and ensure adequate test coverage
- Own vehicle-level deliverables for regulatory compliance including hazard analyses and verification evidence
- Support Mission Assurance's risk management and mitigation tracking at the vehicle level
