About this role
Varda seeks a Build Reliability Engineer to partner with design and manufacturing teams on spacecraft hardware production, ensuring reliable and scalable manufacturing processes. You'll lead failure investigations, develop test and inspection plans, and support quality and mission assurance across vehicle systems.
What you'll do
- Develop test, manufacturability, and inspection plans for spacecraft vehicle hardware in collaboration with design and manufacturing teams
- Lead failure investigations in production, test, and operational environments to identify root causes and mitigate risks
- Contain and manage suspect or non-conforming products, guiding quality inspectors, technicians, and engineers
- Provide peer review of hardware during design reviews and acceptance/qualification test campaigns
- Support Quality, Flight Reliability, and Mission Assurance functions beyond core build reliability work
- Scale production processes and controls to enable reliable hardware manufacturing at increased rates
