About this role
Varda seeks a Spacecraft Process Engineer to optimize manufacturability and reliability of spacecraft hardware by partnering with design and manufacturing teams. You'll develop test and inspection plans, lead failure investigations, and ensure production processes yield verified, flight-ready components for commercial space vehicles.
What you'll do
- Create test, manufacturability, and inspection plans for spacecraft vehicle hardware in collaboration with design and manufacturing teams
- Manage non-conforming product containment and provide guidance to quality inspectors, technicians, and engineers
- Lead root cause failure investigations in production, test, and operational environments to improve design and process reliability
- Conduct critical peer reviews of hardware during design reviews and qualification test campaigns
- Support quality assurance, flight reliability, and mission assurance functions across the organization
- Ensure production processes are scaled and controlled to achieve consistent, verified hardware delivery
