About this role
Vast seeks an Integration Build Engineer to lead the assembly and production transition of the E-2 engine for small launchers. You will collaborate between design and manufacturing teams, create assembly procedures, troubleshoot production issues, and drive continuous improvement on the shop floor.
What you'll do
- Support engine assembly operations and collaborate with technicians and design engineers on manufacturability
- Create and iterate assembly/disassembly process plans and work instructions
- Serve as on-site engineering presence to resolve blockers and non-conformances
- Perform hands-on assembly, integration, and testing of components to specification
- Specify and procure manufacturing tools and equipment
- Implement continuous improvements to increase productivity and efficiency
