About this role
Join Vercel's Scheduled Tasks team to design and build platform primitives for workflows, queues, and cron systems that enable developers and agents to coordinate background work at scale. You'll work on distributed systems foundations while partnering across teams to create simple, composable developer experiences for long-running and event-driven applications.
What you'll do
- Design and build platform capabilities for Workflows, Queues, and Cron systems
- Develop APIs, SDKs, and tooling for defining, running, and managing durable work at scale
- Work on distributed-systems foundations including scheduling, message delivery, execution, retries, and state management
- Collaborate with product, developer experience, and infrastructure teams to translate customer needs into developer primitives
- Conduct thoughtful design reviews and maintain high code quality with comprehensive testing and production ownership
- Engage with developers and open-source community to understand pain points and improve the platform
