About this role
Voleon seeks a Software Engineer to design and build scalable data infrastructure that supports AI/ML research and production workflows. You'll lead complex initiatives, mentor teammates, and shape the developer experience across the organization while working alongside ML researchers and experienced engineers.
What you'll do
- Guide complex initiatives from requirements gathering through system design to deployment, evaluating dependent technologies
- Build scalable data infrastructure including data cataloging, versioning, and lineage systems
- Shape developer experience and abstractions to simplify infrastructure complexity for end users
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering and research staff
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders and ML researchers on data platform needs
- Help define the team's technical roadmap and contribute to engineering culture
