About this role
Voyager Technologies seeks a Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, and support aerospace and solid rocket propulsion hardware from concept through production. The role combines mechanical design, structural analysis, and cross-functional collaboration in a hybrid environment across multiple locations, requiring 4–10 years of aerospace or defense engineering experience.
What you'll do
- Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, structures, and propulsion hardware applying aerospace and defense standards
- Create 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation for aerospace and rocket motor systems
- Perform structural, thermal, stress, fatigue, and vibration analyses to support design decisions
- Support hardware integration, qualification testing, and root-cause investigations for aerospace systems
- Collaborate with propulsion, manufacturing, quality, and program teams to ensure designs are producible and compliant
- Resolve manufacturing issues, evaluate nonconformances, and implement design improvements

- Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and tolerance analysis
- Structural and thermal analysis (FEA, ANSYS preferred)
- Solid rocket motor and aerospace propulsion design experience

- Technical requirements interpretation and cross-functional communication
- Mechanical engineering fundamentals (structural mechanics, materials, loads)
