Voyager Technologies seeks a Mechatronics Engineer to design, build, and maintain automated systems for solid rocket motor and energetic materials manufacturing in Pueblo, CO. This role bridges mechanical, electrical, and software domains to optimize production processes in a mission-critical defense environment.
What you'll do
- Design and commission mechatronic systems including robots, actuators, sensors, and motion control for rocket motor production
- Maintain and troubleshoot automated systems on the production floor to maximize uptime and throughput
- Integrate hardware components with software control layers and develop validation test plans (FAT/SAT)
- Create and maintain engineering documentation including schematics, test records, and compliance reports
- Identify and implement process improvements to reduce cycle time and manual intervention
- Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, safety, and compliance teams on system integration
