About this role
Voyager Technologies seeks a Solid Rocket Propulsion Engineer to design, analyze, and develop solid rocket motor systems and components throughout their lifecycle. The role spans concept through production, involving testing, technical leadership, and cross-functional collaboration in a space and defense environment.
What you'll do
- Design and analyze solid rocket motor components, subsystems, and integrated hardware from concept to qualification
- Perform engineering analyses on motor performance, internal ballistics, combustion, thermal environments, and structural integrity
- Develop engineering requirements, analyses, drawings, specifications, test plans, and technical reports
- Support propulsion testing including test planning, instrumentation, data review, and anomaly investigation
- Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, test, and systems teams to resolve technical issues
- Lead technical work packages and provide mentorship to junior engineers as appropriate for experience level
