About this role

Voyager Technologies seeks a Reliability, Maintainability, and Safety Engineer to ensure their space systems, launch vehicles, and ground operations meet all regulatory and safety standards. You'll conduct safety analyses, assess reliability, investigate failures, and collaborate with design teams to embed safety into lunar systems destined for mission-critical space applications.

What you'll do

  • Ensure compliance with launch licenses, range safety regulations, and applicable technical standards (14 CFR Part 450, AFSPCMAN 91-710, ARP4761)
  • Conduct safety analyses including FMEA, FTA, and hazard identification to assess risk severity and likelihood
  • Perform reliability assessments on systems and components to predict failure modes and improve performance
  • Collaborate with design engineers to incorporate safety and reliability requirements into new designs and modifications
  • Investigate equipment failures using root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
  • Develop proactive maintenance plans based on reliability data to minimize downtime and optimize asset performance
