About this role

Voyager Technologies seeks an RF Engineer to design, validate, and support RF subsystems for defense and space applications. This onsite role in San Diego involves developing RF schematics, PCB layouts, test procedures, and troubleshooting complex RF circuits across UHF to Ka-band frequencies.

What you'll do

  • Derive and document RF subsystem requirements (UC, DC, PA, LNA) from system specifications
  • Design RF schematics and guide PCB layout using tools like Altium
  • Validate designs through testing and troubleshooting of RF circuit boards and assemblies
  • Develop and execute RF test procedures for complex PCBA integration
  • Support manufacturing, system integration, and production troubleshooting
  • Participate in design reviews, proposals, trade studies, and customer meetings

  • RF hardware and schematic design (UHF to Ka-band)
  • LNA and Power Amplifier design (up to 10W at Ka/Ku-band)
  • PCB layout and Altium design tools
  • RF test equipment operation and lab practices
  • RF analysis and simulation tools (AWR/MWO, ADS, Genesys preferred)
  • Multi-project management and rapid technology learning
  • Python, C/C++, MATLAB, or test automation scripting (preferred)
