About this role
Voyager Technologies seeks a senior Systems Engineer – Project Engineer V to serve as chief technical authority and strategic leader for complex defense and aerospace programs. This enterprise-level role involves directing system architecture, overseeing multi-disciplinary engineering teams and subcontractors, and interfacing with executive leadership and DoD customers to ensure mission success.
What you'll do
- Lead as chief project engineer or senior technical authority for large, multi-phase defense and aerospace programs
- Define system architecture, integration strategies, and verification approaches aligned with customer objectives
- Oversee engineering execution across Integrated Product Teams and major subcontractors for technical, cost, and schedule compliance
- Chair design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR) and ensure alignment with technical performance metrics
- Serve as primary engineering interface to executive management and DoD customers for technical decisions
- Drive organizational process improvements, systems engineering standards, and model-based engineering practices
