About this role

Vulcan Elements seeks an OT Cybersecurity Engineer to secure industrial control systems and manufacturing devices across Rockwell, Siemens, and other platforms. You'll design network segmentation, lead NIST compliance assessments, and protect critical OT assets while partnering closely with automation and engineering teams.

What you'll do

  • Design and implement segmented, defense-in-depth OT network architecture including PLCs, HMIs, historians, and MES systems
  • Secure Rockwell/Allen-Bradley and Siemens control systems with firewall policies aligned to NIST and ISA/IEC 62443 standards
  • Lead NIST SP 800-53 Low-Impact Baseline assessment, develop System Security Plan, and manage Plan of Action and Milestones
  • Monitor OT assets and industrial protocols (Modbus, EtherNet/IP, PROFINET) for anomalies across growing platform environments
  • Develop and enforce internal security standards for manufacturing equipment vendors and OT system integrators
  • Specify and implement OT monitoring systems and Incident Response Plans
