About this role

Waabi seeks an Applied AI Security Engineer to establish security controls and governance for the company's AI-native operations. What you'll do

  • Audit current AI tool usage and map data access points to sensitive systems for policy definition
  • Design and implement system prompts, permission scoping, and sandboxing patterns to constrain AI behavior
  • Maintain inventory of MCP servers and AI-to-service connections with clear data access models
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate secure-by-default AI patterns into workflows
  • Evaluate new AI tools and integration requests, determining secure deployment approaches
  • Red-team and continuously test guardrails to identify and close security gaps

What they're looking for

  • Software development and API/service architecture fundamentals
  • AI/LLM security (prompt injection, jailbreaking, attack techniques)
  • System design and access control implementation
  • Automotive security standards (UNECE R155, ISO 26262)
  • Model Context Protocol (MCP) or similar agent frameworks
  • Security documentation and policy communication
  • Hands-on experience with Claude, Copilot, Gemini, or similar AI tools
