About this role
Waabi seeks an experienced Electrical V&V Engineer to lead verification and validation of autonomous vehicle electrical systems, managing compliance testing, root cause analysis, and cross-functional collaboration across design, software, and quality teams. This role owns the full electrical DVP&R process, from requirements derivation through production-intent hardware testing, while ensuring adherence to automotive standards like ISO 26262 and UL 4600.
What you'll do
- Characterize vehicles and derive electrical requirements with traceability to test evidence at module and component level
- Plan and execute functional, performance, EMC/EMI, and stress testing on prototypes and production hardware; build custom test fixtures
- Lead root cause analysis on electrical issues and drive corrective actions to closure
- Manage compliance testing and certification coordination with external labs per ISO 16750, 11451/11452, UL, CE, and OEM standards
- Partner with design, systems, quality, and software teams to integrate V&V and Design for Test into program execution
- Build and evolve Waabi's electrical V&V methodology, lab capability, and testing toolchain

- OEM and Tier 1/2 supplier collaboration and communication
- Test fixture design and lab equipment operation
- Technical documentation and cross-functional presentation skills
