About this role

Waymo is seeking a summer intern to support the Systems Engineering team by ensuring critical simulation tests remain healthy and functional. You'll debug complex test failures, build automation infrastructure for monitoring hundreds of tests, and help establish processes to catch issues early in the autonomous vehicle development pipeline.

What you'll do

  • Monitor and ensure release-critical simulation tests execute on schedule
  • Debug and root-cause test failures by collaborating with simulation and systems engineering teams
  • Develop automation and alerting systems to track test health across a large suite of critical tests
  • Design processes and systems to detect issues early and drive them to resolution
  • Support troubleshooting of complex, distributed test environments
