About this role
Join Waymo's Marketplace team to build the decision systems powering autonomous ride-hailing operations. You'll develop backend infrastructure for matching riders to vehicles, optimizing routing, managing pricing, and deploying ML models that keep the AV network running efficiently and profitably.
What you'll do
- Implement and scale core economic engine systems for trip requests, vehicle-to-rider matching, pricing, and fleet positioning
- Build infrastructure for training and deploying optimization and prediction ML models in real-time decision-making
- Create experimentation, monitoring, and analysis infrastructure for deployed models
- Partner with product data scientists to develop and productionize pricing and matching algorithms
- Design and maintain low-latency, large-scale distributed backend systems
- Ensure fleet efficiency, rider experience, and profitable network operations across multiple cities
