About this role

SpaceXAI seeks a Controls Engineer to design, program, and commission PLC/HMI and SCADA systems for power generation balance-of-plant operations in Memphis, TN. You'll develop integrated control architectures from philosophy through commissioning, managing fuel gas, water, cooling, and auxiliary systems while creating a unified operator interface across solar, gas turbine, and plant equipment.

What you'll do

  • Design and program BOP PLC and HMI for fuel gas, water, compressed air, HVAC, cooling, and electrical auxiliary systems
  • Architect and maintain plant SCADA integrating Solar, 6000 turbine, and BOP into a single control-room operating picture
  • Develop control philosophy, narratives, I/O lists, network diagrams, cause-and-effect matrices, and reusable standards
  • Specify PLC, HMI, SCADA, remote I/O, industrial networking hardware and define data exchange protocols with OEM controllers
  • Commission systems from control room panel and field, troubleshoot integration issues, and support ongoing plant reliability
  • Travel to other sites as needed for commissioning and support activities
