Controls Technician (Physical Infrastructure) - Memphis
About this role
Join SpaceXAI's Physical Infrastructure team as a Controls Technician to maintain and troubleshoot critical systems powering our AI training campuses. You'll perform hands-on integration, commissioning, and repair of control systems including PLCs, SCADA, cooling plants, and electrical distribution across the Memphis/Southaven facility.
What you'll do
- Integrate and commission vendor equipment into BMS, EPMS, SCADA, and PLC control systems
- Execute safe electrical and controls work following LOTO, arc-flash, and interlock protocols
- Troubleshoot and repair cooling, electrical, and facility control assets to maximize uptime
- Build, wire, and maintain industrial control panels to NFPA 79 and UL 508A standards
- Diagnose and support PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and industrial networks serving critical systems
- Collaborate with Controls Engineers and facilities teams on fault finding and corrective actions

- PLC programming and diagnostics (Siemens TIA Portal, Beckhoff TwinCAT, Allen-Bradley)
- Electrical schematic reading and troubleshooting with multimeters
- Industrial control panel design, wiring, and commissioning
- SCADA systems and HMI navigation
- Sensor and instrumentation setup (temperature, pressure, flow, proximity)
- VFD, pump, valve, and actuator controls
- NFPA 70, 70E, 79 and UL 508A compliance knowledge
- Pneumatic and hydraulic systems troubleshooting
