SpaceXAI seeks a Critical Facilities Engineer to operate and maintain mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems powering their supercomputing data centers in Memphis. This hands-on role involves troubleshooting complex infrastructure, ensuring safety compliance, and optimizing performance across HVAC, power, cooling, and environmental systems that support their AI research mission.

What you'll do

  • Operate and maintain MEP systems including HVAC, chillers, cooling towers, generators, UPS, switchgear, and water supply systems
  • Ensure site safety and environmental compliance with all local and regional health and safety requirements
  • Conduct daily and routine inspections of critical systems to maintain performance standards and identify issues proactively
  • Write and execute maintenance operating procedures (MOPs), standard operating procedures (SOPs), and emergency operating procedures (EOPs)
  • Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate scheduled system shutdowns to minimize downtime
  • Mentor junior technicians and lead facility operations teams (for senior and lead positions)
