About this role

SpaceXAI seeks an Electrical Engineer to design and manage plant electrical systems for on-site gas turbine power generation serving AI supercomputing facilities in the Memphis region. You'll oversee generator systems, 34.5 kV collection/export infrastructure, protection schemes, and blackstart capabilities while collaborating across teams to deliver highly reliable, massive-scale generation.

What you'll do

  • Own and design plant electrical systems for gas turbine generation, including generators, excitation, synchronization, and balance-of-plant electrical infrastructure
  • Design 34.5 kV collect/export systems, protection/control schematics, e-houses, and blackstart capability
  • Serve as switching authority, developing procedures for isolation, clearance, and energization
  • Perform power system studies (load flow, short circuit, arc flash, transient stability, harmonics) using ETAP or PSS/E
  • Manage equipment specification, vendor selection, factory testing, site commissioning, and energization
  • Conduct failure analysis (FMEA) and root cause investigations to achieve extreme uptime targets
