Associate Solutions Engineer, Aerospace & Defense
About this role
Xometry seeks an early-career engineer to support aerospace & defense solutions by bridging sales, operations, and manufacturing partners. The role combines technical documentation, cost modeling, supplier coordination, and process improvement within a cross-functional solutions engineering team.
What you'll do
- Support quoting, BOMs, RFQs, and technical specification reviews for complex aerospace & defense programs
- Assist with cost-modeling and quoting-tool development to improve operational efficiency
- Coordinate with suppliers, track quality documents, and manage solution lifecycle from award through delivery
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to understand the full solution lifecycle across engineering, sales, and operations
- Lead a capstone project to enhance process efficiency such as workflow automation or dashboard development
- Develop and demonstrate design-for-manufacturability (DFx) best practices across multiple disciplines
