Associate Solutions Engineer, Aerospace & Defense
About this role
Xometry seeks an early-career engineer to bridge technical and business functions within the aerospace & defense solutions team. You'll support quoting, documentation, supplier coordination, and process improvement while collaborating across engineering, sales, and operations to deliver manufacturing solutions.
What you'll do
- Support technical quoting, BOM creation, and RFQ documentation for complex aerospace programs
- Assist in developing cost-modeling and quoting-tool solutions to enhance internal efficiency
- Coordinate with suppliers on quality documentation and solution lifecycle tracking from award through delivery
- Lead a capstone mini-project to automate workflows, create dashboards, or streamline processes
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to understand the full solution lifecycle
- Apply design-for-manufacturability (DFx) best practices across CNC, additive, sheet metal, welding, and assembly disciplines
