Xometry seeks an experienced aerospace and defense engineer to serve as a customer-facing Solutions Engineer bridging sales and operations. This role combines technical expertise, project management, and customer engagement to drive account growth while providing manufacturing insights and managing complex quoting and delivery processes.

What you'll do

  • Partner with Account Executives to grow and retain aerospace and defense customer accounts
  • Identify and address manufacturing challenges including design-for-manufacturability (DFM) assessments
  • Develop competitive quotes by integrating customer requirements, partner capabilities, and Xometry system knowledge
  • Manage complex project opportunities from discovery through delivery with oversight and coordination
  • Conduct onsite customer visits and gather feedback to inform sales strategies and product alignment
  • Stay informed of upcoming customer projects and initiatives to align with Xometry's manufacturing capabilities
