About this role
Xometry seeks an experienced aerospace and defense engineer to serve as a customer-facing Solutions Engineer, bridging sales, technical expertise, and project management. You'll work with Fortune 1000 customers on complex manufacturing challenges while supporting the pre-sales engineering team with design-for-manufacturability insights and quote development.
What you'll do
- Partner with Account Executives to identify and execute major customer projects
- Conduct on-site customer visits to address manufacturing challenges and provide technical guidance
- Assist pre-sales engineering in developing competitive quotes and technical solutions
- Manage complex opportunities through project oversight and cross-functional coordination
- Gather customer insights and feedback to inform sales strategies and Xometry capabilities alignment
- Apply design-for-manufacturability expertise to proactively identify and resolve production issues
