About this role
Zoox seeks a Systems Test Engineer to analyze and diagnose complex software faults in autonomous vehicles by leveraging data analytics and cross-functional collaboration. You'll triage issues from on-road testing and simulations, identify failure trends, and drive quality improvements for a safety-critical platform.
What you'll do
- Analyze system faults and errors from perception, planner, and AI software using data analytics on test and simulation data
- Categorize and prioritize issues by severity, urgency, and safety impact in collaboration with engineering teams
- Identify failure trends and propose preventative measures to enhance system safety and robustness
- Develop tools, workflows, and documentation to improve triage efficiency and quality
- Produce root cause analysis reports and insights to inform leadership on platform quality
- Adapt quickly to changing priorities while managing multiple concurrent tasks
