Your practice set will appear here
Pick a role family, a category, and a seniority level, then hit Generate. You’ll get 8 realistic questions, each with a note on what the interviewer is actually scoring.
How to practice with generated questions
A question list is only as useful as the reps you run with it. The generator gives you unlimited fresh sets; these three habits turn those sets into interviews you can actually walk into.
Answer out loud, then check the hint
Generate a set and answer each question aloud before expanding its hint. Speaking exposes the gaps that silent reading hides: the rambling open, the missing result, the story with no point. The hint under each question names what the interviewer is actually scoring, so after answering you can check whether you aimed at the right target or just talked.
Add light time pressure
Real answers get about two minutes before an interviewer starts steering. Put a timer next to the set: two minutes per behavioral answer, five for a design case. The first run will blow past it. By the third run you will feel where your answers bloat, and trimming that bloat is most of interview preparation.
Re-generate instead of memorizing
Hit New set once an answer starts sounding rehearsed. A fresh shuffle keeps you practicing the skill that transfers, building an answer from your story bank on the spot, rather than the one that does not: reciting. Interviewers can hear a memorized answer inside ten seconds, and it costs you more than a rough authentic one.
Which category to practice at each stage
Interview loops are staged, and each stage scores something different. Matching the category picker to the round you are preparing for beats grinding one category from start to finish.
Recruiter screen
Practice: Behavioral
The first call is story time: why this role, why now, walk me through your background. Generate behavioral sets and rehearse tight two-minute answers. Depth is not scored here; clarity and energy are.
Technical / craft rounds
Practice: Technical, then System & case design
The middle rounds test how you actually work. Practice the technical category for your role family first, then add design cases if your role has them. Talk through your reasoning out loud; the narration is what gets scored.
Onsite / final loop
Practice: Mixed
Final loops jump between behavioral and technical without warning, so practice the same way. Mixed sets force the gear-switching that trips up candidates who prepared each category in isolation.
Your turn to ask
Practice: Questions to ask the interviewer
Every round ends with reverse questions, and 'no, I think you covered it' is a scored answer too. Keep three ready per round, and retire any that the conversation already answered.
Why hints beat model answers
Most question lists come with sample answers, and sample answers create a trap: you read a polished response, nod along, and walk into the interview having practiced recognition instead of production. Recognizing a good answer and producing one under pressure are different skills, and interviews only test the second.
That is why each question here ships with a hint about intent rather than a script. When you know that a failure question is really an ownership question, or that a conflict question is really a maturity question, you can build the answer from your own experience and aim it correctly. Your story told plainly will beat a borrowed story told smoothly, because interviewers probe follow-ups, and borrowed stories collapse on the second question.
One honest limitation worth knowing: this tool generates realistic practice sets, not predictions. No generator knows what your interviewer will ask on Tuesday. What the reps buy you is coverage of the question shapes that appear in almost every loop, so that whatever variant lands, you have already built an answer within reach of it.

Frequently asked questions
- Is this interview question generator really free?
- Yes. No signup, no email capture, no daily limit, and no watermark. The wider InterviewChamp.AI product is paid, but this page works without an account, as many sets as you want.
- Where do the questions come from?
- From a curated bank of about 150 questions we wrote and tagged by role family, category, and seniority. They are the industry-standard questions interviewers actually reach for: behavioral prompts, role-craft questions, design cases, and questions worth asking back. Nothing is scraped and nothing is generated by a model on the fly.
- Does the generator send or store anything I do on this page?
- No. The whole tool runs in your browser. Your picks never leave the page, no server call happens when you generate a set, and closing the tab erases everything.
- Are these the exact questions a specific company will ask?
- No, and any tool claiming that is guessing. This generator produces realistic practice sets by role and seniority. For questions reported at specific companies, use our company question pages, which cover 200+ company and role combinations with sourced, dated entries.
- How should I practice with a generated set?
- Answer out loud, one question at a time, before opening the hint. Speaking forces you to structure an answer the way an interview does; reading silently does not. Two or three sets per day for a week beats one long cram session, and re-generating with New set keeps you from memorizing an order.
- What does the seniority picker actually change?
- The mix. Intern and new-grad sets stay closer to fundamentals and learning stories. Senior sets pull in questions about mentoring, technical judgment, and influence, because that is what senior loops probe. Mid-level sits between the two.
- What is the 'what they're really asking' hint under each question?
- Every interview question has a surface reading and a real purpose. 'Tell me about a failure' is not about the failure; it is about whether you take ownership and change your behavior. The hint names that hidden purpose so you aim your answer at the thing being scored.
- Can I use these questions to run a mock interview with a friend?
- That is one of the best uses. Copy a set, hand it to a friend, and have them read one question at a time while you answer out loud under light time pressure. If you want a scored version with follow-up questions, our AI mock interview does the interviewer side for you.
