Coding Copilot

The Real-Time Coding Copilot for Live Interviews

Live hints, working solutions, and time/space complexity — on your screen in under a second, while the interview is still happening. One install covers every coding screen you’ll face.

Up to 60 minutes per month of live AI, in 15-minute runs — no credit card

Why a Copilot

An AI Coding Helper That Works While You Interview

You’ve done the prep. The copilot is for the moment the prep evaporates — a novel problem, a live editor, and someone watching you type.

Live Hints While You Think

The AI listens to the question being asked and drafts an approach on your screen while the interviewer is still talking — no tab-switching, no typing the problem out.

Working Solutions, Not Sketches

Coding answers arrive as a complete code block in your interview language, ready to walk through line by line in your own words.

Time & Space Complexity Included

Every algorithm answer ships with a brief time/space complexity breakdown, so you can explain the trade-offs — the part interviewers actually grade.

One Hotkey Reads the Screen

Ctrl+Shift+Enter captures the problem off any coding platform — editor, PDF, or shared whiteboard — and the AI solves exactly what it sees.

Resume- and JD-Aware

Upload your resume and paste the job description. When the round shifts from algorithms to “tell me about a project,” the same session answers from your actual experience.

An AI That Admits Uncertainty

When audio is unclear or context is missing, the AI says so and suggests a clarifying question — instead of handing you a confident wrong answer to read out loud.

Every Surface

One Install. Every Coding Screen.

The screen-analysis hotkey reads whatever is in front of you, so there’s no per-platform setup. If it renders on your monitor, the copilot can work with it.

A copilot that tells you when it doesn’t know

Reading out a confident wrong answer is worse than no answer at all. When the audio is unclear or the problem is missing context, the AI says so and hands you a clarifying question to ask instead. Other tools call that a limitation. We call it the feature that keeps you credible in the room.

Every session is saved for 30 days, so the morning after an interview you can re-read what was asked, what you answered, and close the gaps before the next round.

How It Works

From Install to Interview in 4 Steps

1

Download & Install

Grab the Windows desktop app from the download page. Installs in under a minute — no admin rights needed.

2

Set Up Your Session

Sign in, add the company, paste the job description, and upload your resume. The copilot tailors every answer to that context.

3

Start the Interview

Hit Activate before the call or assessment begins. The overlay floats above your coding platform, visible only to you.

4

Read, Reason, Ship

Ctrl+Enter for an answer to a spoken question, Ctrl+Shift+Enter to analyze the problem on screen. Walk through the solution in your own voice.

FAQ

Coding Copilot Questions

What is a coding copilot?

A coding copilot is an AI assistant that works alongside you during live coding interviews and online assessments. It listens to the question (or reads it off your screen), then surfaces a working solution with reasoning on a private overlay — so you spend the interview explaining the approach instead of freezing on the blank editor. InterviewChamp's coding copilot runs as a Windows desktop app.

How does it work during a live coding interview?

The desktop app listens to the interviewer's audio in real time and shows a draft answer on your screen in under a second. For on-screen problems, one hotkey (Ctrl+Shift+Enter) captures the question off the coding platform and the AI returns a code block plus a brief time/space complexity breakdown. You read, reason, and type the solution in your own words.

Does it work on HackerRank, CodeSignal, and CoderPad?

Yes. The screen-analysis hotkey works on anything rendered on your screen, so the same install covers HackerRank, CodeSignal, CoderPad, Codility, Karat, and LeetCode-style assessments — plus live rounds on Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams. There's nothing platform-specific to configure.

Can the interviewer see the copilot on screen share?

Stealth mode runs the app as an overlay that's excluded from screen-share by default on Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Webex, and common capture tools — the interviewer sees only you and the screen you chose to share. Stealth mode is a Pro+ plan feature; see the pricing page for the full plan comparison.

Does it explain time and space complexity?

Yes. Algorithm answers are formatted as a code block plus a brief time/space complexity note by design, because explaining the trade-off is what interviewers actually evaluate. If a follow-up asks you to optimize, ask the copilot and it reasons through the improvement with you.

How fast are the answers?

Draft answers start appearing on your screen in under a second from the end of the question — fast enough that there's no awkward pause while you “think.” You can try the latency yourself on the live demo page before installing anything.

How much does the coding copilot cost?

Every account starts on the free tier with live AI minutes included — no credit card required. When you have real interviews lined up, hour packs start at $9 (they never expire) and subscriptions unlock unlimited real-time AI. Full breakdown is on the pricing page.

Is using an AI coding copilot cheating?

We treat it as a prep and recall tool, not a proxy: you still write the code, explain the approach, and answer the follow-ups in your own voice. Most candidates know the material and blank under live observation — the copilot bridges knowing-it and saying-it. We never claim to be undetectable, and we publish an honest guide on where the line is (linked below).

Your next coding round doesn’t have to be a solo act

Install the copilot before your next assessment. Up to 60 minutes per month of live AI, in 15-minute runs — no credit card.
