About this role

Aaru is seeking a Software Engineer for Applied AI to work on high-leverage initiatives across simulation infrastructure, agent systems, and product development. You'll own full-stack improvements to AI agent capabilities and simulation pipelines, moving from ambiguous problems to reliable, deployed systems using Python, TypeScript, and whatever technologies the job demands.

What you'll do

  • Improve agent functionality including interaction design, tool use, context handling, orchestration, and model behavior
  • Optimize simulation pipelines for throughput and efficiency
  • Build evaluation harnesses and architecture to make agent and simulation capabilities testable and reproducible
  • Prototype and evaluate company bets through focused experiments and technical investigations
  • Work cross-functionally with engineering and GTM teams to make new capabilities usable and dependable
  • Write clear technical designs and documentation with transparent assumptions, dependencies, and tradeoffs
