About this role

Abby Care seeks a Mobile Software Engineer to lead iOS and Android app development for a healthcare platform supporting family caregivers. You'll own the full mobile development lifecycle, build intuitive experiences for non-technical users in real-world conditions (including spotty connectivity), and establish testing frameworks that ensure reliability and quality.

What you'll do

  • Lead end-to-end mobile app development for iOS and Android, from design through release management
  • Design and implement user flows optimized for non-technical caregivers with offline-first and degraded-mode capabilities
  • Establish mobile testing frameworks including automated testing, CI, and quality gates reflecting real-world usage
  • Partner cross-functionally with operations, clinical, product, and design teams on caregiving workflows
  • Set standards for code quality, architecture, observability, and security across mobile platforms
  • Manage performance tuning, stability improvements, and app reliability in low-connectivity environments

What they're looking for

  • iOS and/or Android native development (Swift, Kotlin, Objective-C, Java)
  • Cross-platform mobile frameworks (React Native, Flutter, or equivalent)
  • Mobile testing, CI/CD, and release management
  • Offline-first architecture and data synchronization patterns
  • Mobile performance optimization and debugging
  • RESTful API integration and modern authentication
  • Accessibility design for mobile
  • Telemetry and monitoring implementation
