Cyber Defense Engineer
About this role
Accenture Federal Services seeks a Principal Cyber Defense Engineer to lead technical cybersecurity initiatives for federal law enforcement clients. You'll design advanced security systems, respond to incidents, conduct vulnerability assessments, and mentor cross-functional teams while staying current on emerging threats and technologies.
What you'll do
- Lead design, implementation, and management of advanced cybersecurity systems
- Perform hands-on technical work including system configuration, integration, and optimization
- Conduct incident response activities including threat hunting, forensic analysis, and remediation
- Develop and implement cybersecurity strategies to enhance system security posture
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify security risks
- Provide technical guidance on cybersecurity best practices, policies, and federal compliance frameworks
