Test Engineer

About this role

Accenture Federal Services seeks a Test Engineer for onsite work in Lorton, VA to execute comprehensive testing activities for federal government systems, including system integration, UAT, and mission acceptance testing. The role involves developing test cases, managing defects, and collaborating with test leadership on defense and national security projects.

What you'll do

• Execute formal test events (SIDR, SIT, UAT, Site Validation, Mission Acceptance) and test reviews
• Develop manual and automated test cases aligned with test plans and requirements
• Identify, document, and prioritize defects with guidance from Test Lead
• Input test results into management tools and track execution progress
• Conduct test strategy activities including requirements verification and test metrics management
• Provide regular test status updates and evaluate testing tools for alternative solutions

• Systems administration with 3+ years Windows Server focus
• Microsoft Azure (AZ-104 or equivalent)
• Active Directory, Group Policy, PowerShell
• Test automation tools (Cucumber, Watir, TestComplete, LoginEnterprise)
• Testing frameworks (Cypress, Jasmine, Selenium, Pester)
• SDLC phases and Agile methodologies
• CI/CD processes and version control (GitHub, Azure DevOps)
• Test case authoring and defect documentation
