About this role
Join AEVEX as a Mechanical Engineer 1 in Tampa to support the design and development of unmanned aerial systems (UAS). You'll work on CAD modeling, component design, and cross-functional collaboration while assisting with prototype testing and manufacturing coordination for defense and aerospace applications.
What you'll do
- Assist in designing and developing mechanical components and assemblies for UAS platforms
- Create and modify 3D CAD models and generate engineering drawings
- Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and product documentation
- Support prototype builds, testing, troubleshooting, and design refinement
- Collaborate with manufacturing and suppliers on fabrication and assembly challenges
- Manage engineering changes, drawing revisions, and configuration control
