Software Engineer II, Backend (Capital Orchestration)

About this role

Join Affirm's Capital Orchestration team as a Backend Software Engineer II to build and maintain the platform that manages liquidity operations, asset collateralization, and transaction reconciliation across multiple systems. You'll develop scalable infrastructure handling billions in monthly collateral movement while collaborating with product, design, and business teams to ensure Affirm can originate loans and grow effectively.

What you'll do

• Build transaction reconciliation platform across systems, partners, and cash movements
• Design and integrate data pipelines from diverse products and systems
• Develop user-facing experiences for business operations workflows
• Partner with engineers on code quality, design reviews, and testing improvements
• Collaborate with product and business teams to architect robust capital systems
• Support operational metrics, monitoring, and on-call responsibilities
