Network Engineer

About this role

AGE Solutions seeks an experienced Network Engineer for an onsite, mid-shift role in Arlington, VA, supporting U.S. government and defense clients. You'll design and maintain enterprise networks, configure advanced infrastructure components, and mentor junior staff while holding an active Top Secret clearance.

What you'll do

• Design, plan, and build communications networks including LAN/WAN systems
• Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN concentrators
• Monitor network performance and coordinate hardware/software improvements
• Develop technical solutions using structured engineering processes and analyze mission requirements
• Perform maintenance, upgrades, and ensure network integrity, compliance, and continuity
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior network personnel

What they're looking for

• Aruba networking systems (hands-on, required)
• Router, switch, firewall, and VPN configuration
• LAN/WAN network design and implementation
• Network monitoring and performance analysis tools
• Cisco, Juniper, or Brocade networking (CCNA/CCNP, JNCIA/JNCIS, or equivalent)
• Enterprise network architecture and modernization
• Backup, recovery, and disaster restoration planning
• Technical documentation and design planning
