About this role

Ultima Genomics seeks a Field Service Engineer II to deliver on-site technical support for genomics instrumentation in the Phoenix area. You'll handle equipment installation, repair, troubleshooting, and customer relationship management while working with a rapidly growing biotech company developing sequencing technologies.

What you'll do

• Provide on-site service including repair, installation, and operation of genomics instrumentation in Phoenix area
• Analyze customer technical issues and reports to identify root causes in collaboration with internal teams
• Maintain detailed records of hardware configurations, software versions, consumables, and system releases
• Serve as primary customer contact, managing relationships with research groups and ensuring service excellence
• Document and communicate issues to development engineers for investigation and resolution
• Perform electro-mechanical assembly, server installations, and troubleshooting of complex instruments
