Software Engineer, Secure Development Engineering

About this role

Join Airbnb's Secure Development Engineering team to design and operate a platform that runs security checks on code across the company's repositories in continuous integration. You'll focus on building reliable, low-latency backend services that thousands of engineers depend on daily, with opportunities to work on scaling the platform and AI-assisted code review capabilities.

What you'll do

• Design, build, and operate backend services that execute code checks in CI/CD pipelines, owning reliability and latency
• Scale the platform to support new repositories, programming languages, and check types while keeping integration simple
• Build and maintain data pipelines for storing results and dashboards that track coverage, volume, and remediation metrics
• Create clear APIs and integration points for other engineering teams to adopt the platform independently
• Enhance developer experience by reducing noise, improving feedback messages, and shortening the feedback loop
• Support AI-assisted code review by building evaluation datasets and pipelines to measure output quality
