About this role
Alarm.com seeks a Software Engineer II to develop scalable video monitoring solutions for their IoT platform serving millions of users. You'll own features across the Video domain using C#/.NET backends and modern front-end frameworks, while integrating AI-assisted development tools into your workflow.
What you'll do
- Write and maintain high-quality C#/.NET back-end code for video domain features including device lifecycle management
- Own features end-to-end from requirements through design, implementation, testing, release, and production support
- Participate in design discussions and code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback
- Debug and troubleshoot issues across environments to identify root causes and deliver lasting fixes
- Rigorously validate AI-generated code for correctness, security, and maintainability before production deployment
- Exercise sound judgment in balancing rapid development with robust solution building
