Solutions Engineer

About this role

Algolia seeks a Solutions Engineer to drive technical pre-sales engagement with enterprise customers evaluating their AI-powered search platform. You'll bridge technical and business stakeholders, lead product demonstrations and POCs, and advocate for customer needs while working remotely across the United States.

What you'll do

• Lead technical discovery, demos, and proof-of-concept engagements with prospects alongside sales teams
• Assess customer goals and recommend how Algolia solutions address their technical and business needs
• Respond to RFPs and support the full sales evaluation process using Algolia's ecosystem tools and frameworks
• Translate customer feedback and requirements to influence product and engineering roadmap decisions
• Create technical content and thought leadership to establish Algolia's market expertise
• Ensure smooth transition to customer success and solution architects for seamless post-sales onboarding

What they're looking for

• Customer-facing technical skills (SE, SA, or consulting experience preferred)
• Front-end development: JavaScript, TypeScript, React
• Back-end development: Java, Ruby, Go, Node, Python, or Swift/Objective-C
• Data formats and transformation knowledge
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities
• Project management and context-switching across multiple accounts
• SaaS industry experience
• Search, e-commerce, or analytics domain knowledge (nice-to-have)
