About this role
ALTEN Technology USA seeks a Vehicle Access Engineer to lead the design, development, and validation of vehicle access systems including door handles, latches, locks, and wireless security components. The role requires managing technical requirements, conducting design reviews, coordinating testing across prototype and production phases, and ensuring compliance with automotive regulatory standards.
What you'll do
- Design and validate vehicle access systems including door handles, latches, locks, actuators, and PEPS interfaces
- Define technical requirements and interface specifications with stakeholders and suppliers
- Support DFMEA, PFMEA, and design reviews to ensure functional safety
- Coordinate vehicle builds, testing, and issue resolution during prototype and production phases
- Analyze field, warranty, and test data to implement corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with global regulatory, safety, and OEM standards
