About this role
Design Release Engineer responsible for developing, validating, and releasing Body-in-White underbody components and stampings for automotive applications. The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration across design, manufacturing, simulation, and supplier teams to meet performance, quality, and manufacturing requirements.
What you'll do
- Lead development and release of BIW underbody stampings and assemblies
- Coordinate with design, manufacturing, simulation, and supplier teams to ensure requirements alignment
- Review forming simulation reports to assess manufacturability and inform design decisions
- Apply GD&T principles to ensure dimensional integrity and functional compliance
- Support design reviews, change management, and product development milestones
- Communicate technical issues and drive resolution of engineering challenges
